We’re doing what matters.

We’ve been working hard every day - removing level crossings as part of our Big Build and building the hospitals, schools and roads that Victorians need now, and for the future.

We’ve made TAFE free, helped create hundreds of thousands of well-paid jobs, invested in renewables and helped families to install solar panels and batteries to keep power bills down.

We’re doing what matters - but we’ll do more.

More to improve our hospitals, train thousands of nurses and paramedics and make nursing free – to make sure patients get the best care.

More to drive down power prices for Victorian families and secure our renewable energy future.

More to make kinder free, saving families thousands and giving our kids the best start.

More to give every Victorian a bright future – and all with a clear plan to bring the budget back to surplus without cutting what matters.

our plan to do what matters for victoria:

health

When you or someone you love is sick, there’s nothing more important than getting the very best care, close to home.

That’s why we’ve built and upgraded 22 hospitals across the state, and hired more than 26,000 extra healthcare workers.

But we’ll do more.

We’re starting on Australia’s biggest ever hospital infrastructure project, building a brand-new Royal Melbourne and Royal Women’s Hospitals Campus next to the new Arden Station.

We’re creating Australia’s first free public fertility service to make it easier for thousands of Victorians to start a family of their own.

And we’re expanding free IVF – because cost shouldn’t be a barrier from starting a family.

We’ll also create 20 new Women’s Health Clinics at public hospitals – transforming the way women’s health issues are treated in Victoria.

And we’re introducing Paramedic Practitioners to provide urgent care to Victorians who need it.

Our positive plan for health means Victorians will get world-class care when they need it.

education

From kinder to a great local school, all the way to TAFE or uni - education changes lives.

That’s why we’re making kinder free - so our kids get the very best start in life.

It’s why we’ve created Free TAFE - to ensure that Victorians can get the skills they need for the job they want.

It’s why we’re building and upgrading schools, so you can count on having a great local school.

Fair access to education ensures all Victorians get the opportunities they deserve.

That’s why we’re upgrading specialist schools all across Victoria – and transforming support for their students, parents and carers.

We’ll build 50 new government-owned and operated childcare centres in the suburbs that need them most and build 100 new schools and upgrade many more across the state.

transport

We’re building the big transport infrastructure projects our state needs so Victorians can get home sooner and safer.

That’s why we’ve removed 67 dangerous and congested level crossings, and why we’ll remove 110 by 2030.

It’s why we’re building the Metro Tunnel – untangling the City Loop to run more trains more often.

It’s why we’re building Suburban Rail Loop and the North East Link.

It’s why we’re capping V/Line fares at metro prices, running more services, and building 23 new VLocity trains.

And naturally, we’ll build them right here in Victoria.

Labor is building the transport infrastructure that Victoria needs.

Jobs

Every Victorian deserves a good, stable job with a decent wage.

It’s more than just a pay cheque – it’s about the security of being able to build a life and provide for your family.

It’s why we introduced Free TAFE and why we’re making nursing free - so Victorians can get the skills they need, for the job they want.

It’s why we’re bringing back the SEC, re-establishing government-owned energy and a plan for 59,000 jobs including thousands of apprentices.

It’s why we made wage theft and workplace manslaughter a criminal offence, ensuring workers’ rights are protected.

And it’s why, through the Big Build, we’re creating thousands of jobs for Victorian workers.

Labor is doing what matters - putting Victorian workers and Victorian jobs first.
