About Dan

Dan's life started just out of Wangaratta on the family farm.

His mum and dad - Jan and Bob - taught him life lessons that stay with him today: hard work, the importance of making a contribution, and that when you make a promise, you keep it.

He finished school and moved to Melbourne to attend Monash University. He drove trucks, sold hotdogs and worked in a bottle shop to get by.

It was at Monash he met Cath, and they married in 1998.

Today Dan and Cath have three kids - Noah, Grace and Joe - and he counts his family as his greatest achievement.

As Premier, his priority every single day has been getting on and doing the things that matter.

The Government he leads is building new hospitals, hiring thousands of healthcare workers, building the roads and rail we need, and making sure every kid can reach their full potential.
